The Gac Viet Agriculture Cooperative, established in March 2021, specialises in producing products from gac fruit (cochinchin gourd), such as pure gac oil, gac tea, gac noodles, and nutritious gac oil for babies.

Among these, four products have been recognized as a provincial-level OCOP (One Commune One Product) product, while six others are in the process of registration for the OCOP product certification by 2026. Many products are exported to markets like India, the Republic of Korea, Taiwan (China), and Malaysia.

The Khuc Xuyen Fine Art Furniture Cooperative was established in 2022, consisting of 15 members which are wood production facilities from the Khuc Xuyen craft village. With a charter capital of 5.5 billion VND (208,610 USD), the cooperative produces high-end wooden products.

The Tam An Technology Development Cooperative was established in 2023, specialising in agricultural production, processing and preserving agricultural products, as well as operating restaurants and food services, with a charter capital of 10 billion VND.

Meeting with the heads of the cooperatives, the provincial leaders praised their achievements in production and business activities, job creation, and providing stable income for workers.

Regarding the proposals and recommendations from the cooperatives, the leaders requested the relevant departments, agencies, and the provincial Cooperative Alliance carefully consider, research, and propose measures to support and resolve these issues as soon as possible, to create favourable conditions for the cooperatives to develop strongly and sustainably.

Vice Chairman Phan The Tuan highly appreciated the dynamism and determination of the cooperative members in their production and business activities.

He emphasised that this is a new development direction that brings high efficiency, capitalising on the potential, strengths, and favourable location near the planned universities and industrial zones.

In the near future, the cooperatives should seize opportunities to invest in and expand their production and business, generate profits, create jobs for workers, becoming bright spots in cooperative operations.
