Covid-19 infections in the capital city of Hanoi reached a record high of 980 on December 12, as part of 14,638 new cases across the country.

Vietnam recorded 14,839 cases of Covid-19 in 57 localities during 24 hours from 4pm December 9 to 4pm December 10, including 20 imported cases, according to the Ministry of Health.

Ho Chi Minh City on December 10 started administering additional and booster shots of Covid-19 vaccines to high-risk groups and frontline forces, including medical workers, police and army officers and those who are immunocompromised.
