While the pandemic has ushered in online trading of agricultural produce, lychees farmers who lack the tech savvy are finding it a difficult process.

(BGO) – Many supermarkets have urgently planned to consume lychee and support farmers in Bac Giang province amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

(BGO) – In spite of getting impacts by Covid-19 pandemic, the early ripening lychee in Bac Giang province have been smoothly consumed in domestic and exported to China and Japan. So far, more than 5,000 tonnes of lychee have been sold with price of 15 – 35,000 VND (0.65 – 1.52 USD) per kg. Two lychee hubs of Tan Yen and Luc Ngan have strictly controlled over the source of Covid-19 infection toward the target of an effective and safe lychee production and consumption. 

Bac Giang, Vietnam's lychee growing hub, is switching from export of the fruit to selling in the domestic market sue to the Covid-19 pandemic, and farmers are struggling.

(BGO) – The People’s Committee in Tan Yen district (Bac Giang province) on May 26 coordinated with the provincial departments and agencies to organize “Departure ceremony for Tan Yen early ripening lychee to Japan in 2021” at Luong Van Nam Square in Cao Thuong town, Tan Yen district.
