Rice exports estimated at 715 million USD in Q1
Vietnam exported 1.48 million tonnes of rice, worth 715 million USD, in the first three months this year, up 24 percent in volume and 10.5 percent in value against the same period last year.

Vietnam is expected to achieve its export target of 6.3 million tonnes of rice worth US$3.2 billion this year due to high global demand and an increase in export prices.
Vietnamese firms continue to win bids for rice exports to the EU and the Republic of Korea (ROK) since the beginning of the year.
The volume of rice exported last month is estimated at 700,000 tonnes with a value of US$362 million.
The US Department of Agriculture (USDA) has forecast that Vietnam would maintain its position as the world’s second biggest rice exporter this year.
