Vietnam and the United Kingdom have issued a joint declaration on the elevation of the Vietnam-UK to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. The announcement was made on October 29 (local time) following a welcome ceremony and talks between UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and Party General Secretary To Lam as part of the latter's oficial visit to the UK. With this, Vietnam now has comprehensive strategic partnerships with 14 countries.
