The coming winter months, including the festive Tet season, may spark new Covid-19 outbreaks if people are not careful, the health minister warned Wednesday.

Vietnam reported 8,129 new domestic cases of Covid-19 in 55 cities and provinces on Tuesday, up 175 against Monday.

Vietnam plans to begin giving Covid-19 booster shots either at the end of 2021 or early 2022, health minister Nguyen Thanh Long said Monday.
