Provincial and defence ministry delegations visit, present Lunar New Year gifts
BAC NINH – Senior provincial leader and defence officials on January 26 visited factories and social welfare centres in northern province of Bac Ninh ahead of the Lunar New Year, offering gifts and pledging continued support for workers and war veterans.
Nguyen Hong Thai, a member of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and Secretary of the Bac Ninh provincial Party Committee, visited Ha Phong Export Garment JSC in Hiep Hoa commune to extend New Year greetings and present gifts to workers facing difficult circumstances.

Company representatives said 2025 had been a challenging year due to global political uncertainty and the impact of new tariff policies on export markets. Despite this, the firm maintained stable production, supported by flexible management and the efforts of nearly 7,700 workers.
Average monthly income reached more than 13.7 million VND per worker, up 15.8% from 2024, while year-end bonuses averaged 18.5 million VND. All employees were covered by labour contracts and social insurance, the company said.

During the visit, the provincial leader praised the company’s role in job creation and income stability, and reaffirmed the provincial government’s commitment to supporting businesses and improving workers’ living conditions. He presented 200 gift packages to workers in need, each including cash and essential goods.
On the same day, a delegation from the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defence, led by Senior Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh, Deputy Head of the General Department of Political Affairs of the Vietnam People’s Army, visited three war invalid nursing centres in Bac Ninh and neighbouring areas.

The centres currently care for war invalids and seriously wounded veterans with disability rates of 81% or higher, many of whom require long-term medical treatment and daily assistance.
Speaking at the visits, by Senior Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh expressed gratitude for the sacrifices of war invalids and veterans, stressing that the Party, State and armed forces remain committed to improving their welfare.
He also called on local authorities and military units to continue coordinating efforts to provide better care and living conditions for those who contributed to the nation’s independence.
The delegation presented Lunar New Year gifts to veterans and staff at the centres.
