In Czech Republic, the Bac Ninh artist troupe performed at the opening and closing ceremonies of the Great National Solidarity Festival and Vietnam Culture Day, first held in Europe. This event took place in Praha gathering representatives of overseas Vietnamese communities from 29 countries.

The delegation also met with the Bac Ninh Fellow Countrymen Association in Czech Republic and delivered performances at Sapa Trade Center.

Following the activities in Czech, the Bac Ninh artist troupe traveled to Lisbon (Potugal) and Cottbus (Germany) to carry out a series of performances, cultural exchanges and heritage promotion programmes.

One of the highlights was the performance of Quan ho folk songs at Lisbon’s Museum of the Oriente from 19.30 to 21.00 on November 5.

On this occasion, the delegation paid a courtesy visit to Vietnamese ambassador in Potugal and had a working session with Oriente Museum to exchange experience in heritage preservation and tourism development.

In Germany, other series of performances will take place in Cottbus on November 6 and at Pacific Trade Center in Berlin on November 7.

Through this series of heritage-promotion performances across Europe, Bac Ninh continues to underscore the role of cultural diplomacy in promoting local image, strengthening ties with overseas Vietnamese communities, fostering cultural exchanges, expanding international cooperation and promoting tourism.

Produced by the India Book of Records (IBR) based on an idea by Prof. Dr. Chu Bao Que, "Love Garden" weaves Quan Ho folk singing into a bridge connecting past and present. The storyline follows a young Indian woman from Madhya Pradesh state who travels to the heartland of Quan Ho in northern Vietnam and performance stages in Hanoi to trace memories of her late mother.
