Construction momentum builds across Bac Ninh
BAC NINH - A fresh wave of construction momentum is sweeping across Bac Ninh province as authorities and contractors intensify labour emulation campaigns at major projects in the run-up to the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
Across construction sites, work schedules have been visibly accelerated. Project owners, consultants and contractors have mobilised additional manpower and machinery, organising round-the-clock operations under “three shifts, four crews” arrangements and working through weekends and holidays to keep projects on track and shorten timelines. The heightened pace reflects a broader determination to lay solid foundations for the province’s next phase of development.

Multiple work fronts, tighter on-site supervision
Kenh Vang Bridge is among the province’s most significant infrastructure projects, expected to provide a strong boost to local socio-economic development while improving connectivity with the northern port city of Hai Phong.
The project comprises a 740-metre main bridge, 23.5 metres wide, built with prestressed reinforced concrete, and more than 12 km of approach roads with a carriageway width of 15 metres.
Total investment exceeds 2.18 trillion VND (95.3 million USD) with the Bac Ninh No.2 Transport and Agriculture Project Management Board acting as investor.
Despite cold and rainy weather, the site has remained busy from early morning until late afternoon. Contractors have deployed 10 work fronts, more than 200 workers and nearly 100 pieces of equipment to maintain progress.
On a key inter-regional transport axis, work on the service road running parallel to Ring Road 4 of the Hanoi Capital Region is also being stepped up to support urban and industrial expansion.
Along the entire route, contractors are racing to ensure progress, quality and safety, again operating in multiple shifts and increasing work fronts to shorten construction time.
At Package No.15, covering more than 13.6 km, a consortium including Construction Joint Stock Company 568, Nga Hai Co. Ltd. and Construction Service and Trading Joint Stock Company 68 has mobilised nearly 60 workers and close to 50 machines.
To date, nearly 3 km of asphalt pavement has been laid, about 3 km of embankment completed, and 1.5 km handed over for connection to the road linking Gia Binh Airport with Hanoi.
Authorities aim to complete asphalt paving in the second quarter of 2026, achieve basic technical opening before June 30, 2026 and finish the project within the year.
Upgrading industrial and urban infrastructure

Beyond transport, industrial and urban projects are also being fast-tracked. Phase 1 of the Song Mai–Nghia Trung Industrial Park, spanning 50 hectares with total investment of more than 2.8 trillion VND, broke ground in late August 2025.
Designed as a model industrial park that is “bright, green, clean, smart and multi-functional,” the project is currently deploying more than 200 workers and 30–40 machines from five contractors.
According to Luu Quang Minh, Director of the Project Management Board, the first phase has completed 50% of land levelling, 70% of internal roads and 90% of wastewater treatment facilities, while construction of power and fire safety systems has begun. Infrastructure handover to secondary investors is targeted for the end of May 2026.
Public welfare projects are also being accelerated. In Nenh ward, a 1.2-hectare green space and parking facility within a new residential area is already about 80% complete, with contractors aiming to hand it over in February 2026, three months ahead of schedule and before the Lunar New Year of the Horse.
Nearby, the Dong Van residential infrastructure project has reached about 65% completion after just over two months of construction. Originally slated for June 2026, it is now expected to be delivered by the end of March, nearly three months early.
As dusk falls across construction sites, the steady hum of machinery continues. From Kenh Vang Bridge to Ring Road 4 and across industrial and urban developments, the intensive “three shifts, four crews” campaign remains in full swing, underscoring Bac Ninh’s drive to complete key projects on time in celebration of the 14th Party Congress.
