Full joy during National Day holiday in Bac Ninh
BAC NINH- This year’s National Day break, lasting from August 29 until September 2, offered people and visitors a joyful, safe and meaningful holiday filled with memorable experiences.
Amid the festive atmosphere of the Independence Festival, the homeland of Quan ho folk songs became a popular destination for people to relax and entertain, explore its rich historical and cultural heritages and fully embrace the joy.

In the colourful atmosphere with national flags, visitors flocked to historical sites, museums, craft villages and eco-tourism destinations to enjoy leisure time, explore the history and culture and discover the beauty of their homeland.
A large number of tourists visited the special national relic site of Do temple (in Tu Son ward) to worship and commemorate the kings under Ly dynasty as well as learn about the history of nation.
At the Bac Ninh Museum No 2, the stories about the land of rich culture and history were lively told through the collection of artifacts and historical documents on display in the space featuring representative antiquities and the exhibition “Bac Ninh’s place names and administrative boundaries through the historical periods.”
Many families brought their children there to visit, discover the history and capture memorable moments during the holiday.

At the Bac Ninh Temple of Literature in Vo Cuong ward, the “Meeting Kinh Bac scholars and calligraphers” programme brought together nearly 60 artisans, calligraphers and Han-Nom researchers from Bac Ninh and other localities, cherishing the long-standing tradition of learning and creating a meaningful cultural highlight.
Apart from the heritage spaces, eco-tourism sites in the entire province also attracted many visitors to enjoy their holiday. Particularly, the Mo stream eco-tourism site in Nghia Phuong commune lured around 1,000 to 2,000 visitors per day.
According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, a series of vibrant cultural, sports and tourism activities held across the province attracted more than 315,000 visitors during the holiday, who came to enjoy recreational activities and experience local attractions, up 19 percent compared to the same period last year.
Strong shopping demand also boosted purchasing activity on this occasion, making the province’s goods and services market more vibrant.
At GO! Bac Giang supermarket, sale power over the past few days surged by more than 300 percent compared to normal days and doubled the figure of last year’s National Day holiday.
