Key highlights of the programme include the traditional New Year neu tree (bamboo pole) erection ceremony and a collective chung cake making activity dedicated to supporting disadvantaged people.
The organiser plans to prepare around 610 gift packages, each worth 2 million VND (76 USD).
These gifts will be presented to policy beneficiaries and disadvantaged households in various localities, including Quang Tri and Cao Bang provinces, several communes in Hanoi, centres caring for Agent Orange/dioxin victims, and ethnic communities living and working at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism.
