Under the model, students undergo training in three stages. In the first stage, they study basic professional knowledge at LIC.

Students majoring in control engineering and automation technology attend a practical session at Ly Thai To College.

They then spend six months to one year studying and gaining practical experience at international partner institutions, including Guangxi Institute of Electromechanical Vocational Technology and Shandong Transport Vocational College in China, while also receiving training at corporate training centres.

In the final stage, students undertake paid internships and work in official engineer and technician positions at Goertek Vina Co Ltd or other partner businesses.

The programme is designed to strengthen links between vocational training, practical experience and businesses' recruitment needs.

LIC considers the 1+1+1 model part of its efforts to train and supply high-quality technical workers, contributing to the development of Bac Ninh's industrial ecosystem.

The college is gradually strengthening links between vocational education, businesses and the labour market, ranging from technical training to production management personnel.

Associate Professor Nguyen Tien Dong, LIC's rector, said the college had more than 1,000 students in the 2026-2027 academic year.

About 95% of graduates secure jobs in fields related to their training, while the quality of its graduates is considered to meet businesses' requirements, he said.
