Bac Giang attracts 59 investment projects

BGO) – Since the beginning of this year, Bac Giang province has lured 59 investment projects, including 37 domestic projects and 22 foreign direct investment (FDI) ones. The projects have a total registered capital of 1.45 billion USD, 6.2 times higher than last year’s amount and equivalent to 58 percent of the yearly target.

To date, the province has licensed 1,178 investment projects of which 896 are domestic projects with a total investment capital of almost 79.6 trillion VND, and 22 foreign projects valued at nearly 4 billion USD. Up to 883 projects have been invested outside industrial parks.

In the first five months of 2017, Bac Giang had 406 newly established businesses with a total registered capital of almost 4.2 trillion VND.

The results were attributed measures taken by local authorities to improve the investment and business environment as well as construct essential infrastructure facilities.
