Under the plan, Bac Ninh will closely link supporting industries with its key industrial sectors, using the demands of multinational corporations and foreign-invested enterprises as a basis for guiding investment attraction.
By 2030, the city aims to have at least 700 supporting industry businesses operating in priority sectors. Around 60% of domestic enterprises are expected to meet international management standards and become official suppliers to major corporations.
By 2035, the number of supporting industry businesses is projected to reach at least 1,000, with around 80% of domestic enterprises applying globally recognised management systems.
The city will prioritise the development of supporting industries for electronics and semiconductors, as well as sectors serving high-tech manufacturing, mechanical engineering, automation, and automobile production and assembly.
Textile, garment, footwear and leather industries will also be developed selectively, with an emphasis on greener production.
To achieve these targets, Bac Ninh will reserve 5% of industrial land in industrial parks and clusters for high-tech enterprises and small and medium-sized businesses. It will also develop technical infrastructure, logistics facilities and clean energy to support industrial growth.
The municipal Department of Industry and Trade has been assigned to monitor and coordinate implementation of the scheme and advise the municipal People’s Committee on submitting a resolution to the municipal People’s Council on specific expenditure levels for supporting industry development activities.
The resolution is scheduled for issuance in the fourth quarter of 2026, while a digital database on supporting industries is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2027.
