Bac Ninh concentrates on development of supporting - industry ecosystem
BAC NINH- On September 8, the provincial People’s Committee (PPC) held a conference to seek opinions on the Project of developing supporting industry in Bac Ninh province for the 2026-2030 period, with a vision to 2035. The conference was attended by member of the provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board and PPC Vice Chairman Pham Van Thinh.
PPC Vice Chairman stressed the province is targeted to “localizing” the supporting industry.

To that end, the province is encouraging businesses to invest in supporting industries by offering land incentive policies in industrial clusters, supporting construction of factories and allocating part of science, technology and innovation development fund to motivate enterprises to invest in modern production lines, application of science and technology in production and logistics infrastructure development.
The draft project sets out an orientation for Bac Ninh province to sharply shift the supporting industries from extensive to intensive growth, with enterprises’ competitiveness and their position in the supply chain as the core.

The province prioritizes such sectors as electronics, semiconductors, precision engineering, automation, automotive components and assemblies and high-tech industries, while limiting the development of industries requiring a large amount of labour, natural resources and energy with low added value.
At the conference, the participants discussed and gave opinions on key contents for implementation of the project
PPC Vice Chairman Pham Van Thinh highly appreciated the sense of responsibility, intelligence, dedication and determination contributed by the participants, experts, associations and business community.
In order to put the project into practice at an early stage and gain tangible results, PPC Vice Chairman requested a focus on developing a diversified, integrated and sustainable supporting industry ecosystem while gradually strengthening supply chains within the province to help enterprises optimize costs, shorten delivery time and enhance their competitiveness.

FDI and big companies were urged to promote experience sharing, support and link with domestic businesses. The province is committed to providing equal investment climate for mutual cooperation and development.
The Department of Industry and Trade was assigned as a focal agency in state management and fully grasp opinions to complete the project.
The Association of Supporting Industries will act as a contact agency to connect businesses and gather arising opinions.
The Association of Supporting Industries was assigned to collaborate with relevant agencies to organise the “Business Coffee” program on a monthly basis since October, providing an open forum for provincial leaders and representatives of departments and agencies to directly meet with businesses, listen to and promptly resolve their difficulties and challenges. They will accompany enterprises in development of supporting industries.
