Commercialising technological products

With years of experience in designing, manufacturing, and installing automation machines and machining jigs, Alpha Vina Mechanical and Automation JSC (located on Le An street, Bac Giang ward) recently had a project evaluated and approved by the Department of Science and Technology.

Alpha Vina Mechanical and Automation JSC completes automatic heating equipment for industrial casting.

The project focused on the research and development of an automatic heating device used in industrial casting.

From November 2023 to January 2024, the company’s engineers and programmers devoted substantial effort to develop an automated heating system with a temperature precision of ±15°C, stable operation, integrated with sensors, PLC, and HMI.

The system features self-calibration, easy operation, low cost, and a high level of localisation. The product has already been transferred to several enterprises in the province, opening up opportunities for broader application in production.

Participating for the first time in the provincial Innovation Startup Competition, A.I - SKVI Technology JSC (based in Viet Yen ward) introduced its AI-powered health care cabin.

Having conducted research since 2019, the company has now developed a relatively complete product incorporating 12 advanced technologies, including far-infrared waves, energy stones, biological magnetic fields, molecular separation magnetic fields, negative oxygen ions, graphene heating, ozone purification, vibration massage, relaxing music, and notably, AI health consultation technology.

The company is currently working on developing additional features that allow the cabin’s energy modes to adjust to each individual’s physical condition, and to facilitate detoxification and improved metabolism within 30–45 minutes of use.

Fostering an innovation movement

Believing that businesses are the central pillar of the innovation ecosystem, Nguyen Phuc Thuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology, emphasised that Bac Ninh province is creating every possible condition for enterprises to accelerate their technological upgrades and innovation efforts.

As one of Vietnam’s most industrially developed provinces, ranking among the leaders in industrial output and exports, Bac Ninh’s businesses are well positioned to take advantage of cutting-edge technologies from major corporations such as Samsung, Amkor, Canon, Foxconn, while also having the motivation to create their own high-tech products.

Looking ahead, the Department of Science and Technology will proactively advise the provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, and People’s Committee on supportive policies related to tax incentives, funding, and interest rate subsidies for projects and enterprises operating in the field of science and technology.

The department also plans to provide training and knowledge dissemination on innovation, guide startup projects to access venture capital, and help businesses connect with the technology market to enhance the commercial value of their innovations.

Additionally, in response to the 2025 National Innovation Day with the theme: “Innovation by All – Driving National Development,” the province is launching a series of events to promote and widely disseminate the purpose and significance of the day.

With comprehensive support from policies, mechanisms, and community outreach, it is hoped that businesses will raise awareness of the importance of innovation, transform their production and business models toward sustainability, and help position Bac Ninh as a national leader in high-tech development.
