Updated: 15:49, 16/09/2026

BAC NINH - Vice Chairman of the Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee (PPC) Phan The Tuan has attended the inauguration ceremony of the Vegahomes social housing project for workers.

The ceremony was held on September 16 in Nenh ward. The Vegahomes social housing project for workers, invested in by Vega Investment Joint Stock Company, covers 4.296 hectares with a total investment of 1.048 trillion VND (38.6 million USD).

PPC Vice Chairman Phan The Tuan presents congratulation flowers to the investor.

The project is among those selected to mark the establishment of Bac Ninh city, helping translate the policy of developing social housing into concrete action and meeting the demand for stable accommodation among workers, employees and low-income people.

It comprises four 18-storey apartment buildings with a total of 1,558 units, including three social housing blocks with 1,236 apartments, 1,008 for sale and 228 for rent, and a commercial block with 322 apartments.

The project is expected to provide stable accommodation for about 3,600 low-income residents, workers and employees.

PPC Vice Chairman Phan The Tuan and delegates press the button to inaugurate the project.

Apartment floor areas range from 27.6 square metres to 63.9 square metres, offering different layouts to meet residents' needs.

Speaking at the ceremony, PPC Vice Chairman Phan The Tuan said the province is implementing 135 social housing projects with more than 152,000 apartments in total, of which about 32,000 have been basically completed.

In the first six months of 2026 alone, about 8,000 apartments were completed. In Nenh Ward, the province has been implementing 13 social and worker housing projects with nearly 25,000 apartments.

The completion and commissioning of the Vegahomes social housing project in Nenh Ward will help increase the supply of housing and improve living conditions for workers and employees, he said.

PPC Vice Chairman Phan The Tuan and the investor hand over keys and present flowers to some of the first residents of the social housing project.

He asked the investor to continue completing all remaining project components and ensure that technical and social infrastructure, as well as amenities for residents, are developed in a coordinated manner.

He also called on provincial departments and agencies and local authorities to continue coordinating, providing guidance and conducting inspections, while promptly addressing any difficulties that arise to ensure the project is managed and operated in a stable, safe and effective manner.

At the ceremony, the PPC Vice Chairman and other delegates presented flowers to congratulate the project and pressed a button to inaugurate the Vegahomes social housing project. They also handed over keys to the first residents and toured several facilities, buildings and apartments within the project.
