Under the decision, the authority was created by merging the former Bac Ninh Industrial Park Authority and the Bac Giang Industrial Park Authority.

The new Bac Ninh Industrial Park Authority, under the Bac Ninh Provincial People’s Committee, is tasked with directly managing industrial parks in the province.

It will also provide public administrative services and other support services related to investment, production and business activities for companies in the industrial parks as stipulated by law.

The authority has legal status, its own account and seal featuring the national emblem. Its funding for state management, public services and development investment will come from the state budget allocated annually, along with other legally regulated sources.

The authority will perform its duties and exercise its powers in accordance with current legal regulations.

The Bac Ninh People’s Committee is responsible for coordinating with the Ministry of Justice to review and propose the abolishment of Decision No. 152/1998/QD-TTg dated August 25, 1998, which established the former Bac Ninh Industrial Park Authority, and Decision No. 261/2003/QD-TTg dated December 10, 2003, which established the Bac Giang Industrial Park Authority.

Facing pressure to pay bank interest from the loans to build houses for rent, many households had to sell their real estates to pay the debts. However, this service has been in high demand again since mid- 2024.
