The event on September 22, jointly organised by the Bac Ninh and Lam Dong Departments of Industry and Trade in Bac Giang ward, brought together officials, trade promotion agencies, business associations, enterprises, cooperatives and production and trading establishments from both provinces.

Bac Ninh has strengths in industry, trade, services, import-export activities and distribution infrastructure, while Lam Dong is known for high-tech agriculture and products including coffee, tea, vegetables, flowers, fruit and distinctive OCOP products.

The two sides said their complementary strengths could create opportunities for sustainable trade links, with Lam Dong's high-quality products gaining access to distribution networks, shops, supermarkets and e-commerce channels in Bac Ninh and northern Vietnam.

Participants also called for the two departments of industry and trade to organise exchanges and cooperation programmes to support production linkages and product distribution.

Exhibition booths featuring signature products from both provinces were also arranged on the sidelines.

Bac Ninh's fruit products were displayed for visitors to sample, while Lam Dong showcased coffee, fish sauce and other processed products, providing opportunities to discuss quality, packaging and supply capacity.

A cooperation agreement on trade connectivity and market expansion was signed between the Bac Ninh and Lam Dong departments of industry and trade and businesses and cooperatives from the two localities.

The programme aims to promote trade activities, connect distribution networks, support e-commerce adoption and develop supply chains linking production, processing, logistics, distribution and sales.
