At a meeting with a delegation from Amkor Technology Vietnam led by General Director Kim Sung Hun on June 16, the provincial Party Chief said South Korean businesses had made significant contributions to the province’s socio-economic development.

He said Bac Ninh was focusing on sustainable growth through science and technology, innovation and digital transformation, while continuing to improve transport and industrial infrastructure and develop a highly skilled workforce.

Reiterating the province’s policy that “the success of enterprises is the success of the province,” he pledged that local authorities would continue to create favorable conditions for businesses to invest and operate in the long term.

General Director Kim Sung Hun thanked provincial leaders for their support and praised Bac Ninh’s investment climate and well-developed industrial infrastructure.

He said Amkor Vietnam’s output had doubled compared with the same period last year and the company now employed more than 2,000 workers.

The strong performance, he added, was supported by the province’s assistance throughout the company’s investment and operational process.

Amkor Vietnam plans to further expand its facilities and increase production capacity to meet rising demand in global markets, Kim said, while expressing hope for continued support from provincial authorities to ensure sustainable growth.

During the meeting, representatives of Bac Ninh province, Amkor Technology Vietnam and Vietcombank discussed the company’s business operations, the development of Vietnam’s semiconductor industry, demand for high-quality human resources, incentives to attract high-tech investment, and opportunities for cooperation and financing.

Responding to the company’s proposals, the provincial leader instructed the provincial People’s Committee and relevant departments to provide direct and timely support to Amkor Vietnam, helping ensure the success of its future investment projects in Bac Ninh.
