Construction is scheduled to be completed within 180 days.
The project includes the renovation, upgrading and construction of more than 16 km (10 miles) of 110-kV transmission lines connecting the Bac Giang and Quang Chau substations, together with related branch lines.
It will also upgrade feeder lines supplying the Song Khe, Nam Thanh Pho, Van Trung and Doi Coc 110-kV substations, while modernising control, protection, metering and remote monitoring systems to meet smart-grid operational standards.
Total investment in the project exceeds 182 billion dong (6.9 million USD).
According to the investor, the upgrade is designed to increase the transmission capacity of the 110-kV corridor between the two major substations, improve power supply reliability and ensure stable electricity quality for strategic industrial parks, including Song Khe and Van Trung, as well as surrounding areas.
Once completed, the project is expected to strengthen interconnections within the regional 110-kV power grid, improve operational flexibility, reduce transmission losses and enhance the security and continuity of electricity supply for industrial parks, urban areas and local residents.
