BAC NINH – Bac Ninh province posted one of the fastest economic growth rates in Vietnam during the first nine months of 2025, powered by its electronics manufacturing sector, provincial data showed.
The province’s gross regional domestic product (GRDP) rose 9.61% in the third quarter, ranking fifth nationwide, and 10.12% in the first nine months, placing sixth out of 34 provinces and cities, the Bac Ninh Statistics Office said.

Industry remained the key driver with growth of 11.2%, contributing more than 70% of the province’s output. Services expanded 7.75% while agriculture, forestry and fisheries rose 3.77%.
Foreign-invested enterprises such as Luxshare, Foxconn, Fukang, Canon Vietnam and Samsung Electronics Vietnam were the biggest contributors, producing items including smartwatches, integrated circuits, laptops and smartphones.
Officials said Bac Ninh has focused on improving the investment climate, facilitating expansion of existing projects and attracting new investors. Local leaders hold regular talks with businesses to remove bottlenecks.
Industrial parks in the province drew more than 5 billion USD in investment in the first nine months, already surpassing the full-year target, authorities said.
Bac Ninh has set an 11.5% growth goal for 2025. To meet the target, the province plans to speed up land clearance, expand transport infrastructure and complete facilities at industrial parks to attract secondary investors.
With strong growth and record investment inflows, Bac Ninh has strengthened its role as a manufacturing hub in northern Vietnam. Officials said the economic outlook for the rest of 2025 remained positive.
