He highlighted Bac Ninh’s socio-economic achievements and the province’s strong investment links with Chinese businesses.

Bac Ninh currently hosts more than 1,000 Chinese enterprises, including major investors from Shandong. Among them, Goertek Group has committed and registered capital totaling about 1.6 billion USD.

As of September 2025, Bac Ninh had attracted more than 10.8 billion USD in investment from Chinese partners, ranking first in number of projects and third in total capital among foreign investors.

The provincial Party Chief said Bac Ninh and Shandong share similarities in economy and culture, offering a solid foundation for future cooperation.

He proposed several areas for collaboration, including encouraging major Shandong enterprises to explore opportunities in Bac Ninh. He stressed that the province would create favorable conditions for effective investment and business operations.

The two sides also discussed enhancing trade links, particularly in agricultural and handicraft products. The provincial leader requested Shandong’s support in developing high-tech farming models that Bac Ninh could apply to improve local agricultural production.

“The meeting today is an opportunity for the two sides to understand each other and move towards establishing concrete cooperation,” Gau said.

On behalf of Shandong, Lin Yu thanked Bac Ninh’s leaders for the warm welcome and said the visit was part of efforts to implement high-level agreements between the two Parties and two countries. He emphasized that the trip would help deepen friendship and exchanges between Shandong and Bac Ninh.

Lin said Shandong would review and follow up on Bac Ninh’s proposals, particularly in boosting bilateral economic and trade cooperation, with a focus on agricultural exports. He suggested Bac Ninh send a delegation to Shandong to study and discuss collaboration opportunities, especially in crop production.

He also expressed a wish for closer cultural and artistic exchanges to further strengthen ties between the two provinces.

Earlier, the Shandong delegation, accompanied by Bac Ninh leaders, visited Goertek Vina Smart Technology Co. Ltd., located in Nam Son – Hap Linh Industrial Park.

They reviewed the company’s production activities and toured an exhibition of Dong Ho folk paintings, a traditional art form of Bac Ninh.
