The Vietnamese Embassy in South Korea would continue to facilitate information exchanges, connect potential partners and organise field surveys, he said.
Acknowledging the contributions of South Korean businesses to Bac Ninh's industrial development and job creation, Vice Chairwoman Tran Thi Hang called on them to expand production, increase investment in research and development, and introduce more South Korean investors to the city.
She said Bac Ninh currently had 43 industrial parks with approved planning, covering approximately 13,089 hectares. By 2030, the city aims to develop 72 industrial parks with a combined area of around 21,519 hectares.
Alongside industrial infrastructure development, Bac Ninh plans to allocate space for high-tech industries, digital technology, chip design and specialised workforce training.
The city outlined four priority areas for cooperation with South Korean partners.
The first focuses on electronics, semiconductors and supporting industries, which are directly linked to the manufacturing operations of businesses from both countries.
Bac Ninh prioritises projects involving component manufacturing, precision engineering and automation, while seeking to strengthen Vietnamese suppliers' capabilities and gradually increase localisation rates.
The second area covers science, technology and innovation, with an emphasis on establishing research and development centres, laboratories and testing facilities.
For logistics, trade and urban development, Bac Ninh introduced the Gia Binh International Airport project, which is being developed to meet 4F standards. The city also highlighted opportunities to connect air transport through Gia Binh, inland waterway transport in Que Vo and international rail services through Kep.
These transport links are expected to create demand for cooperation in developing distribution centres and multimodal logistics services.
The fourth area involves culture, tourism and high-tech agriculture, with proposed projects focusing on cultural and ecological tourism products, as well as applying technology to agricultural preservation and deep processing.
