Bac Ninh targets more than 30% share for e-commerce retail sales
BAC NINH - Bac Ninh aims for e-commerce retail sales to account for more than 30% of total retail sales of goods and consumer services in the province by 2030, under its plan to implement the retail market development strategy through 2030, with a vision to 2050.
From 2026 to 2030, total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue are expected to grow by an average of 16%-17% annually.

Cashless payments are targeted to account for at least 80% of transactions at supermarkets, shopping centres and convenience stores, while 50% of transactions at traditional markets are expected to be made via QR codes or e-wallets.
From 2031 to 2050, the province targets annual growth of more than 18% in total retail sales and consumer service revenue, with e-commerce accounting for 35%-45% of total retail sales.
More than 70% of small and medium-sized retail businesses are expected to join e-commerce platforms, while smart retail networks powered by big data and artificial intelligence will be developed. Cashless payments are targeted at 90%-95%.
To achieve these goals, Bac Ninh will accelerate digital transformation in retail and build an ecosystem linking e-commerce with logistics, traceability and cashless payments.
Businesses, cooperatives, household businesses and market traders will receive training in operating e-commerce platforms, digital advertising, AI-powered sales and customer data management.
The province will also encourage investment in e-commerce fulfilment centres, smart warehouses, delivery and collection points, and related delivery infrastructure.
