Bac Ninh trade fair connects supply and demand, promotes local farm produce
BAC NINH - The Northern Region Industry and Trade Fair - Bac Ninh 2026, featuring more than 250 booths and thousands of products from across Vietnam, is creating opportunities to connect producers with consumers while promoting the province as a dynamic and modern destination with a distinctive cultural identity.
Held from September 16 to 22 as part of activities marking Bac Ninh becoming a centrally governed city, the fair has attracted large numbers of visitors for shopping and experiences.

The event is divided into several sections showcasing industrial and commercial products from northern provinces, certified products under One Commune One Product programme, signature goods from businesses in Bac Ninh and other localities, traditional handicrafts, as well as regional trade, tourism and food.

A highlight is the 30-booth farmers' market, organised by the Bac Ninh Farmers' Association, which features more than 300 agricultural products, three- to five-star OCOP products and handicrafts from Bac Ninh and provinces including Hanoi, Hung Yen, Son La, Thai Nguyen and Phu Tho.
The market combines direct product promotion with digital commerce, with livestream sales hosted on platforms operated by the municipal Farmers' Association, the municipal Labour Confederation, the Bac Ninh municipal e-portal and Dan Viet online newspaper.
Pham Van Thinh, a member of the Standing Committee of the Bac Ninh Municipal Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Municipal People's Committee, joined leaders of the Vietnam Farmers' Association, the Trade Promotion Agency and representatives of localities at the livestream event.
More than 500 orders worth over 200 million VND (nearly 7,700 USD) were placed during the livestream on September 16, according to the Bac Ninh Farmers' Association, highlighting the potential of digital tools to promote and sell agricultural products.

The fair gives local producers access to consumers both directly and through digital platforms, expanding opportunities to connect with distributors, businesses and customers in different markets.
For Bac Ninh, the event is not only a venue to showcase local products but also an opportunity to promote the image of a locality undergoing rapid transformation while strengthening economic, cultural and trade links with other regions and creating new opportunities for cooperation.
