Central Retail Vietnam and the National Payment Corporation of Vietnam ink a cooperation agreement to launch Viet QR Pay at the GO! supermarket system, at a ceremony on October 24, 2025. |
Accordingly, GO! supermarkets’ customers can simplify payments by scanning VIETQR Pay code using their banks’ mobile banking apps or e-wallets, providing a fast, convenient, and seamless payment experience.
For Central Retail, the VietQR Pay service will support real-time revenue management, transparent tracking of goods and services, and efficient financial management and reconciliation, thereby enhancing operational efficiency and safeguarding the interests of all parties involved in transactions.
Tran Huu Linh, Director of the Domestic Market Management and Development Department under the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT), said applying the VietQR Pay service and promoting Vietnamese products through the CRV’s system will help stimulate consumption demand and enhance the effectiveness of the “Vietnamese people prioritise using Vietnamese goods” campaign.
This programme also contributes to encouraging the adoption of digital payments in the domestic retail market, he added.
Olivier Langlet, CRV General Director, said the firm always seeks to accompany the Government in initiatives to stimulate consumption and promote Vietnamese products, adding that this is part of its strategy “Better for Vietnam” to contribute to Vietnam’s prosperity.
The adoption of VietQR Pay across CRV’s retail system not only provides a more convenient payment experience but also promotes cashless payment trends, thereby boosting domestic consumption demand.
Nguyen Dang Hung, Deputy General Director of Napas, stressed that as the organisation responsible for building and operating the national retail payment infrastructure, Napas has consistently led the way in applying modern technology and developing smart, secure, and user-friendly digital payment solutions.
The rollout of VietQR Pay across the CRV’s supermarket system is a clear demonstration of the partnership between two reputable brands, toward innovating for convenience and delivering an exceptional experience.
Immediately following the signing ceremony, Central Retail and Napas jointly launched a promotional programme for customers making in-store payments at GO! supermarkets nationwide.
Twenty brands participating in the campaign "Honouring Vietnamese products" were honoured at the event, most of which are rice products.
