Chairman of Bac Giang People’s Committee receives Japanese entrepreneurs

(BGO) – Chairman of the People’s Committee of Bac Giang province Nguyen Van Linh hosted a reception on May 3 for a delegation of Japanese businesspeople led by Tomohiro, Chairman of the D-Standard Group, who visited Bac Giang to explore the local investment environment. The meeting was also attended by leaders of the provincial Departments of Planning and Investment, Agriculture and Rural Development, Foreign Affairs, and the People’s Committee Office.

During the reception, Chairman Nguyen Van Linh introduced the province’s potential and advantages as well as its policies to lure investment.

Representatives of the Japanese delegation briefed the hosts about its investment ideas and proposed cooperation models with Japan, including hi-tech agriculture in Bac Giang, calling for Japanese investment in Bac Giang, human resource development models to supply manpower for Japan and Japanese firms in Vietnam.

Chairman Nguyen Van Linh revealed that 21 Japanese businesses are operating in the province. He hailed Japanese enterprises’ business and production activities and affirmed that Bac Giang has attached importance to Japanese firms.

Mentioning the proposals, Linh expressed his hope that the Japanese companies would study the province’s potential and strength to cooperate and introduce more Japanese investors to the locality. Bac Giang is willing to support and create all favorable conditions for Japanese investors, he affirmed.
