According to Bui Thi Thu Thuy, Director of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, this is a particularly significant event, contributing to honouring and affirming the unique values of the heritage; raising community awareness in preserving and promoting heritage values associated with local cultural, tourism, and socio-economic development.
These days, in Bac Giang, Kinh Bac, Thuan Thanh and Tan An wards and several other localities in the province, many distinctive cultural and tourism activities are taking place, creating a richly distinctive festive space.
A highlight is the festival opening and pilgrimage to the ancestral land of Vinh Nghiem, featuring spiritual rituals such as offering incense in commemoration of Truc Lam Tam To (three founders of Truc Lam Buddhism), praying for national peace and prosperity, and praying for peace; reenacting the procession of the statues of the three founders and the Buddha palanquin procession from the Thuong River wharf to the pagoda.
At the provincial Cultural and Exhibition Centre (Bac Giang ward), the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in coordination with several domestic art troupes, presents performances of intangible cultural heritages recognised and inscribed by UNESCO; and displays and introduces typical cultural products of various localities.
Exhibition booths introduce representative cultural artifacts, handicrafts, cuisine, OCOP products, and more, contributing to promoting the image of the land, people, and tourism potential of localities, connecting culture with economic development.
Within the framework of the festival, there are also the Bac Ninh Quan ho Folk Singing Contest in Kinh Bac ward; a thematic exhibition introducing the World Cultural Heritage of the “Yen Tu – Vinh Nghiem - Con Son, Kiep Bac Complex of Monuments and Landscapes” at Bac Ninh Museum No. 1; the exhibition “Typical Antiques of Bac Ninh province” at Bac Ninh Museum No. 2; and experiential activities titled “Du xuan mien Quan ho.”
The festival atmosphere also spreads along several streets in Bac Giang and Kinh Bac wards with art performances, cuisine, water puppetry of Dong Ngu village, folk games, and OCOP product displays.
On this occasion, the Lim Festival, the Tay Yen Tu Spring Festival, and the Sloong hao singing festival also take place, creating a colourful festival panorama that highlights the vitality of the Kinh Bac heritage region in early spring.
The diverse series of activities during this time has opened up a space for cultural convergence among regions. Various forms of folk arts, traditional rituals, handicrafts, and craft villages are organised synchronously at many tourist sites and historical relics.

This forms the foundation for the provincial tourism sector to build tours titled “Journey to the Heritage Land,” turning honoured cultural values into vivid experiences.
The highlight of these tours also lies in community-based experiences such as participating in rituals, enjoying local cuisine, and interacting with artisans and local residents. Through this, visitors realise that heritage value lies not only in titles but in how communities preserve, practice, and pass it on in daily life.
Tours to the heritage region therefore not only help promote the image of Bac Ninh - Kinh Bac but also open up a suitable direction for sustainable tourism development, harmonising preservation and development.
This will be the beginning of shaping tourism products associated with world-honoured heritage, creating attraction for visitors to return, stay longer, and gain a deeper understanding of the culturally rich land of Kinh Bac.
