Congratulating you on being elected by the Congress to the 14th-term Party Central Committee. Could you share the key highlights and new features of this Congress?

The 14th National Congress is of strategic significance, clearly reflecting the aspiration for national development in a new stage.

The Congress not only profoundly reviewed the great achievements of historical significance achieved during the renewal process, but also clearly established a long-term development vision, ushering the country into a new era – the era of the Vietnamese nation’s rise.

A very prominent new feature of the Congress is its emphasis on the role of science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation as key driving forces; the development of a green economy and digital economy; and especially the strong focus on cultural development and the Vietnamese people, building a solid spiritual foundation for rapid and sustainable development.

The Congress also identified national defence and security, together with foreign affairs and the promotion of international integration, as crucial and regular tasks.

Party building and anti-corruption work have shifted from a focus on “combating” to a more proactive approach of “building.” Another new point is the construction of a streamlined apparatus that operates effectively and efficiently.

Participating in the 14th National Congress, what notable activities and contributions did the Bac Ninh delegation make?

The Bac Ninh delegation made thorough, careful, and comprehensive preparations for attending the Congress, ensuring the serious, full, and timely implementation of directives from the Politburo and the Secretariat, and strict compliance with the Congress’s rules and regulations.

In terms of contributions, first of all, the delegation provided dedicated, in-depth, and responsible opinions on the documents submitted to the Congress. The delegates carefully studied the draft documents, actively engaged in discussions, and contributed many practical and well-founded opinions closely aligned with reality.

Regarding personnel work, the delegation strictly adhered to the Party’s principles and regulations in electing the new-term Party Central Committee, demonstrating a high level of unity and consensus, thereby contributing to the selection of exemplary comrades with strong political mettle, intellect, morality, and leadership capacity to the Party’s highest leadership body.

In addition, they actively exchanged and learned experience with other provinces, cities, central ministries, and agencies; and effectively participated in information and communication activities, helping to spread the spirit and success of the Congress, while promoting the image and position of the Bac Ninh provincial Party Organisation to friends at home and abroad.

After the Congress, bringing its Resolution into real life is of special importance. How will the provincial Party Organisation implement this task?

Immediately after the Congress, the provincial Party Organisation will organise the thorough dissemination and study of the Resolution of the 14th National Congress in a serious and extensive manner, closely linked to the practical conditions of each sector and locality.

Implementation will not stop at studying the Resolution, but more importantly, will involve concretising it into specific programnes, projects, and action plans with clear roadmaps and defined tasks.

In the spirit of the Resolution of the 14th National Congress, Bac Ninh has identified the goal of becoming a centrally governed city as an important and consistent political task in the coming period. Accordingly, the province will focus on decisively and synchronously directing solutions to realise this goal.

What are the key tasks and breakthrough areas that Bac Ninh province needs to focus on in the immediate future?

First, the province will focus on comprehensively reviewing all planning schemes in a synchronised, modern, green, and smart direction; developing technical and social infrastructure that meets the criteria of a centrally run city.

Second, it will develop specific plans for low-carbon economic development; continue restructuring the economy toward high-tech, environmentally friendly industry, and gradually participate more deeply in global value chains.

Third, Bac Ninh will promote comprehensive digital transformation; build digital government, digital economy, and digital society; and develop smart urban areas associated with modern governance to better serve people and businesses.

Fourth, it will develop the culture and people of Bac Ninh to meet the requirements of the new era, harmoniously combining the traditions of Kinh Bac with the spirit of innovation and creativity. The quality of education, health care, and social security will be improved, ensuring a safe and civilised living environment for the people.

Fifth, the province will maintain political stability and social order and safety; and build a strong all-people national defence posture in close association with a firm people’s security posture.

Sixth, it will intensify Party building and the construction of a clean and strong political system; continue reorganising and streamlining the apparatus to operate effectively and efficiently. The role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and mass organisations will be promoted, ensuring the Party’s comprehensive and direct leadership.

With high political determination, decisive action, and the consensus of the entire society, Bac Ninh will soon bring the Resolution of the 14th National Congress into life, making worthy contributions to the cause of national construction and defence in the new era.

Composition of the 14th Party Central Committee

The 14th National Party Congress on January 22 announced the list of 200 members elected to the 14th Party Central Committee. Of the 200 members, 180 are full members and 20 are alternate members; 113 were re-elected, while 87 were elected for the first time; 179 are men and 21 are women. The youngest full member is 46 years old, and the youngest alternate member is 38.
