Bac Ninh officials visit foreign embassies on New Year 2026
BAC NINH – Mai Son, member of the Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee and Standing Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, together with a delegation from Bac Ninh province, paid visits to the Embassies of Japan, India, and Laos to extend New Year 2026 greetings.
At the Embassy of Japan, the delegation was received by Deputy Ambassador Ishikawa Isamu and other officials of the embassy.

On behalf of the Bac Ninh leaders, Mai Son extended his warmest New Year wishes to the Embassy of Japan on the occasion of the upcoming New Year 2026.
He introduced an overview of the province’s geographical conditions and population after the administrative merger with Bac Giang province in July 2025, as well as information on the province’s strengths and outstanding achievements in socio-economic development in 2025.

Accordingly, Bac Ninh currently has 126 valid FDI projects from Japanese partners, with a total registered investment capital of approximately 1.98 billion USD. Japan ranks 5th among 42 investment partners in terms of investment attraction.
In the first 10 months of 2025, the total import-export turnover between Bac Ninh and Japan reached nearly 3.87 billion USD. Luc Ngan lychee has been granted a geographical indication protection certificate in Japan, among other achievements.
On this occasion, Vice Chairman Mai Son proposed that the embassy support connecting Japanese enterprises to invest in Bac Ninh province in fields such as precision mechanics, automobiles, and motorcycles, with a focus on sectors leading the Fourth Industrial Revolution, including ICT industry, digital technology, nanotechnology, biotechnology, and new materials.
He also suggested connecting with Japanese technical universities to establish exchange programs or jointly train human resources for electronics, automation, information technology, and semiconductor industries.
Ishikawa Isamu expressed his appreciation for the goodwill and attention from the leaders of Bac Ninh, and highly valued the achievements the province has made in recent years as well as its economic development potential.
In his capacity, the Deputy Ambassador stated that he would continue to pay attention and provide support to strengthen relations between Japanese investors and Bac Ninh, as well as assist the province in establishing direct connections and cooperation with localities in Japan in the coming time.

On the occasion of the New Year, Ishikawa Isamu wished Bac Ninh leaders good health and expressed his hope that the province would continue to achieve significant accomplishments in socio-economic development.
At the Embassy of India, the delegation was welcomed by Ambassador Tshering W. Sherpa and other officials.
At the Embassy of Laos, the delegation was received by Ambassador Khamphao Ernthavanh, along with embassy officials.
