Detailed planning of Bac Giang int’l logistics centre announced

(BGO) - The Department of Construction of the northern province of Bac Giang has announced a detailed plan for the construction of the Bac Giang City International Logistics Centre (ratio 1/500).

The Bac Giang provincial People’s Committee approved the planning in late July 2016. Accordingly, the centre will be built on a total area of 71.86ha in Song Khe commune, Bac Giang city. It will serve as an entrepot and a shopping centre in the Lang Son-Hanoi route and vice versa.

It will be a stop for goods from northern mountainous provinces to seaports in Quang Ninh province and Hai Phong city.

The centre will comprise an administrative office – trade – exhibition zone, housing for staff, storehouses, car parks, technical infrastructure area, and parks with green trees. Traffic, water supply and drainage and electricity systems are also parts of the plan.

The first phase will focus on building highways’ stops, an administrative office, storehouses, technical infrastructure and trade–services zones. The exhibition-trade promotion zones and residential houses will be completed in the second phase while small- and medium-sized storehouses will be constructed in the third phase.

On the occasion, the Department of Construction suggested the provincial People’s Committee and relevant agencies to erect landmarks at the site and monitor the construction in line with the planning./.
