Trial operations begin at first Vietnamese-owned semiconductor chip testing and packaging plant
FPT Corporation has officially commenced trial operations at its semiconductor chip testing and packaging plant in the Yen Phong II-C Industrial Park, Bac Ninh Province, while fulfilling its initial orders.
This is the first semiconductor testing and packaging facility in Viet Nam under domestic ownership. It help complete the national semiconductor ecosystem, encompassing research, design, manufacturing, training, testing, packaging, and commercialisation, thereby enabling deeper integration into the global supply chain.

Furthermore, the plant is collaborating with FPT Polytechnic to deliver a hands-on training programme using live production lines. Scheduled to launch as a pilot in December 2026, the programme will feature direct instruction from engineers, helping bridge the gap between theory and practice while developing a high-quality semiconductor workforce for Viet Nam. |

At the same time, FPT is prioritising establishing a training and competency assessment system aligned with international standards: ISO 9001 for quality management and ISO/IEC 17025 for testing laboratory proficiency. This is complemented by instruction in Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) control (per IEC 61340-5-1) and occupational health and safety (per ISO 45001). |
