Vice Chairman of the Bac Giang People’s Committee Duong Van Thai speaks at the meeting. |
At the meeting, customers recommended the upgrade of the electricity grids in industrial parks need to ensure good visual impact.
Tong Van Thu, Director of the Xuan Thu Limited Company (Dinh Tram IP), proposed the Department of Industry and Trade provide guidance for investment and installment of power shutdown devices for all enterprises to follow.
A representative of the Dong Vang Auto Factory (Dinh Tram IP) said high fees for electricity connection-disconnection and equipment verification pose difficulties for businesses.
A number of companies in the Quang Chua, Van Trung, Song Khe – Noi Hoang IPs said the current regulation that requires two or three times of electricity bill payment within a month causes troubles for firms in recording their watt-hour metre and allocating their budgets.
Answering these issues, Nguyen Ba Son, Director of the Bac Giang Electricity Company, said the company will ask specialised units to carry out power equipment verification on the spot to help businesses cut travel and transport costs.
Regarding the power bill payment, Son said it is a compulsory regulation set out by the Electricity of Vietnam Group (EVN). He asked for support from the business community to boost service quality of the sector.
Son blamed the failure to implement announcements on power cut for maintenance on contractors, adding that his company will require them to follow schedules as committed and make compensation for parties involved if violations occur.
Businesses, in turn, have to invest in upgrading their electrical wire networks and install power shutdown devices to prevent possible damage to nearby enterprises in case of electrical incidents.
Addressing the event, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Duong Van Thai praised efforts made by the Bac Giang Electricity Company and relevant State management agencies to improve power quality and reduce electrical incidents in IPs.
He requested the provincial Department of Industry and Trade to tighten management and collect feedback on power quality from businesses.
The Bac Giang Electricity Company was tasked with continuing to reduce power access duration and making public its standards and prices. It must follow power cut schedules, restrict unexpected cuts, plan prompt incident reactions, and conduct regular system maintenance.
The company should encourage businesses to install power-cut devices or suggest them sign compensation commitment for power incidents if they refuse to do so, Thai added.
