(BGO) - Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of the northern province of Bac Giang Duong Van Thai on February 5 had a working session with a delegation from the Republic of Czech’s RONELI company. The investors came to explore the possibility of investing in a beer production plant in the province. Present at the event were representatives from relevant departments and sectors.

At the working session, a representative of the Czech delegation said, Roneli is a big business in the field of beverage production and real estate in the Czech Republic. Each year, the company rakes in about 300 million USD in revenues. Before arriving in Bac Giang, the delegation had studied the investment environment and consumption market in the province.
Accordingly, the company plans to join hands with the Bac Giang Habada Joint Stock Company to build a beer plant with a designed capacity of 20 million litres per annum at Song Khe – Noi Hoang Industrial Park. The project has a total investment of around 20 million USD, using Czech technologies. Once put into operation, it will create jobs for over 100 workers. Furthermore, the project’s investor will build brand names and showrooms as well as establish a brewing vocational training center in Bac Giang to serve the construction of more factories in Khanh Hoa and Can Tho.
Speaking at the meeting, Chairman Duong Van Thai expressed his pleasure to receive the first foreign investors of the new lunar year to explore the investment climate in Bac Giang. He briefed the guests on the local geographic location, natural conditions, and investment attraction policies. He said the provincial People’s Committee will create the most favourable conditions for the Czech company to implement the project. Regarding specific cooperation plans, the Czech company need to hold discussion with the Bac Giang Habada Joint Stock Company, he suggested.

In case the two sides could not reach an agreement, the provincial People’s Committee is willing to introduce other businesses to coordinate with or support the Czech company to build a new plant in Bac Giang.
