As of July 11, 1,029,298 out of 1,035,707 household representatives had participated in the vote, equivalent to 99.38% turnout. Among them, 1,026,219 ballots supported the proposal.

Household representatives in Tho Xuong residential quarter, Bac Giang Ward, cast ballots on the proposal.

The Politburo on June 20 issued Conclusion No. 52-KL/TW approving in principle the establishment of Bac Ninh as a centrally-run city based on the current administrative boundaries of Bac Ninh Province.

Following the conclusion, local authorities across the province simultaneously organized public consultations on July 11 to collect opinions on the proposal.

The Department of Home Affairs said 47 out of 99 communes and wards recorded 100% participation from households.

Separately, 12 communes also sought public feedback on proposals to upgrade their administrative status to wards. Support rates were high, with 10 of the 12 localities recording approval rates above 99%.

Nhan Thang Commune posted the highest level of support at 99.96%, followed by Luc Nam at 99.88%, Chi Lang at 99.85% and Luong Tai at 99.64%.

Based on the consultation results, the Department of Home Affairs will advise the provincial People's Committee on finalizing the proposal and related documents for submission to competent authorities for consideration and approval.
