A wide range of activities will be held to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Party’s first outline of Vietnamese culture, announced the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, at a press conference in Hanoi on February 22.
Accordingly, a national symposium will be organised in Hanoi on February 27, to highlight the theoretical and practical values of the document, as well as the Vietnamese people and culture.

The event is expected to attract nearly 300 delegates from cultural management agencies, as well as cultural researchers, intellectuals, artists, and cultural practitioners nationwide.
A celebration and a special art programme will be staged at the Hanoi Opera House on February 28, featuring songs and dances, recounting the development of the national culture.
In addition, a documentary entitled ‘80 years of the outline on Vietnamese culture’, will be screened on Vietnam Television’s Channel 1, at 20:30 on February 27.
The 40-minute film will recall the historical context and practical values of the document, as well as the implementation of the document in developing Vietnamese culture.
A film week and a photo exhibition will also be scheduled to mark the occasion.

Party chief’s book on corruption fight to make debut
A book by General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Nguyen Phu Trong regarding the fight against corruption and other negative phenomena will be released at a ceremony in Hanoi on February 2, according to the CPV Central Committee’s Commission for Internal Affairs.
