Bac Giang enhances management efficiency of industrial parks and clusters

(BGO) - On May 10, Nguyen The Toan, Head of Economic and Budget Board, provincial People’s Council in Bac Giang province led the supervision delegation to supervise the legal implementation in investment attraction to provincial industrial parks and clusters in Bac Giang in the period 2018 - 2022 at Lang Giang district.

Lang Giang district now has 7 industrial clusters (IC) with total area of 280 ha, including four IC established during 2018 - 2022 and invested by enterprises (namely Nghia Hoa, Dai Lam, Tan Hung and Huong Son). To date, five out of seven IC have operated.

The local IC have attracted 50 investment projects, 40 of which enter operational stage. Particularly in the period 2018 - 2022, the district has lured 14 projects. The companies at the IC created job to more than 13,200 labours and contributed over 91.1 billion VND (3.97 million USD) to the budget.

Nguyen The Toan acknowledged the attention and efforts taken by Lang Giang district to conduct state management to attract investment to the IC. After actually inspecting, knowing the situation, analyzing difficulties and limitations, he directed the district People’s Committee to review detailed planning of the local IC then evaluate the status to have effective control, especially in land, infrastructure construction, environment protection; select sub-investors so as to ensure project schedule and execution quality to avoid source waste.

Particularly, local authority was urged to build operational and management regulations at the IC to create legal foundation and facilitate the inspection and supervision of implementation as well as punishment of violation.

Regarding investment attraction, he ordered district People’s Committee to actively propose solutions to higher authority to remove difficulties and obstacles then accelerate the progress and implementation effectiveness of investment projects.
