Bac Giang promotes mechanization in agriculture
BAC GIANG - In the context of labor shortage in agricultural and rural areas, the introduction of motor vehicles into production stages has promoted the formation of large-scale fields. At the same time, it helps cooperatives and farmers in the Bac Giang province reduce labor, costs and increase economic efficiency.
Production mechanization is the "key" to improve efficiency in the fields so many localities have paid due attention to bringing machinery into production stages.

Tu Mai commune in Yen Dung district has more than 600 hectares of agricultural land, mainly intensive cultivation of rice and vegetables of all kinds.
According to the representative of the Commune People's Committee, the rate of using motorized vehicles in land preparation and rice harvesting reaches 100%.
In particular, thanks to implement new rural building program, in-field traffic infrastructure has been invested, upgraded and expanded. Together with high result of land plot gathering, it has created favorable conditions for bring machinery into the fields.
In Hiep Hoa district, people are increasingly changing their thinking, boldly investing in machinery or renting agricultural machines, thereby gradually forming service groups.
Hoang Tien Hung, Head of the District Division of Agriculture and Rural Development said to promote mechanization in the fields, the locality has organized many training classes and seminars to help people clearly understand the benefits of new production models as well as popularize the support policies from the State.
In recent years, the Agriculture sector and localities of the province have actively implemented mechanisms and policies to encourage people, businesses and cooperatives to invest in mechanization in production.
Implementing Resolution No. 26, the State supports 50% of the funding for purchasing machinery, equipment and water-saving irrigation systems to serve mechanization in agriculture. This is an important driving force that helps promote mechanization in large fields in the coming time.
According to Vu Tri Dong, Vice Head of the Plant Production and Protection Division, to further apply mechanization into agricultural production, the Plant Production and Protection Division continues to propagate and mobilize farmers to change traditional farming practices to modern methods.

Vietnam’s agricultural exports to South Korea rose by 55% year-on-year in the first half of 2024 to US$164 million thanks to increasing demand from consumers.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, in the first six months of 2024, the US continued to be Vietnam ’ s largest agricultural, forestry and fishery export market. The export value to the US accounted for 20.7%, an increase of 20.8% over the same period in 2023. This market has many growth opportunities for Vietnamese agricultural exports in the last months of the year.
