Bac Giang province attracts 50 more investment projects

(BGO) – In the past four months, Bac Giang province has granted investment licences to 50 projects.

Of those, 32 projects are invested by domestic companies with a registered capital of 25.7 trillion VND, which is 24.4 times higher than the figure in the same period last year.

Meanwhile, 18 foreign invested projects have a combined registered capital of 181 million USD, equivalent to 82.6 percent of last year’s amount.

To date, the newly-licensed projects brought the province’s total number of projects to 1,170.

In an effort to improve the investment environment, the provincial People’s Committee has asked relevant agencies to evaluate and analyse the provincial competitiveness index 2016 (PCI) and lay out tasks and solutions to increase its ranking in the following years. Localities and sectors have focused on tackling difficulties for businesses, especially accelerating land clearance for major projects.
