Bac Giang rice noodles protected in Thailand

(BGO) – According to the Department of Science and Technology in Bac Giang province, the Thailand competent authority has granted the protection certificate for collective brand of Chu and Ke rice noodles to Chu Rice Noodle Production and Consumption Association in Nam Duong commune (Luc Nam) and Dinh Ke Rice Noodle Production Cooperative (Bac Giang city) with 20 year validity.

They are two prestige producers with traditionally qualified noodles previously protected by several countries such as Japan, Republic of Korea, Lao and Cambodia.

Annually, they are capable of making over one tonne of products. The issuance of protection certificate in Thailand helps the producers boost up the production, expand the noodle export markets, preserve and promote the traditional handicraft.
