Bac Giang students win 86 prizes at national contest for excellent student in 2023 – 2024 academic year

BAC GIANG - On the afternoon of January 25, the Department of Quality Management (Ministry of Education and Training) announced the results of the national contest for excellent student in 2023-2024 school year.

86 out of 110 contestants from Bac Giang province won prizes, including 4 First prizes, 25 Second prizes, 38 Third prizes and 19 Consolation prizes, an increase of 27 prizes compared to the previous school year.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Mai Son presents gifts to contestants in the national contest for excellent students.

Among them, 85 students are from Bac Giang High School for the Gifted and 1 student from Hiep Hoa High School No. 1.

The 4 first prizes were awarded to Than The Cong, Truong Phi Hung, Nguyen Danh Bao, 12th graders in Physics Class and Giap Vu Son Ha 12th grader in Chemistry class of Bac Giang High School for the Gifted who received the highest score (34.25/40) nationwide in Chemistry.

Last school year, when they were in grade 11, Than The Cong and Giap Vu Son Ha won first prize in Physics and Chemistry at the national contest for excellent students.

In the 2022-2023 school year, Bac Giang students won 4 First prizes, 14 Second prizes, 16 Third prizes and 25 Consolation prizes in the national contest for excellent student.

Ta Viet Hung, Director of the Bac Giang Department of Education and Training, said: "Compared to the previous school year, the number of prizes in this year contest is higher and all subjects have winners”.

So far, Bac Giang High School for the Gifted has 7 students (Math: 1; Physics: 3; Chemistry: 2; Biology: 1) qualified to participate in the competition to select the team representing Vietnam at international exams.
