Bac Giang’s farm produce sold out at high price
According to Yen The district Division of Agriculture and Rural Development, the district provides about 2.3 million chickens to Tet market. Every day, the traders buy dozens of tonnes of live chickens from the district to sell in Hanoi, Hai Duong, Bac Ninh and some neighboring localities.

The commercial chicken prices range from 80-105,000 VND per kg, an increase of about 30% compared to 2023 Tet season while the processed chickens cost about 175,000 VND per kg. With current prices, the farmer can earn profit of about 40 million VND (1,705 USD) per 1,000 chickens excluding the production cost.
Lien Chung Grilled Fermented Pork Roll Cooperative in Lien Chung commune (Tan Yen district) sells 3,000 rolls every day. It is estimated that the whole commune consumes more than 10,000 rolls per day, nearly doubling compared to the same time last year. To increase consumption, the cooperative now offers a discount program for customers who buy large quantities of over 200 rolls.

Along with Lien Chung Grilled Fermented Pork Roll (4 star OCOP Product), products made from Danh mountain ginseng are also strongly consumed on this occasion. Representative of Danh Duc Hanh Mountain Ginseng Cooperative (in Lien Chung commune) said that the cooperative has recently launched 6 new products to this Tet market.
These days, dozens of visitors come to buy products and visit the cooperative's ginseng production model in Hau village, Lien Chung commune and at No. 28 Ngo Van Canh Street (Bac Giang City). The cooperative's daily revenue on this occasion reaches more than 100 million VND.
In Luc Ngan, citrus products are also smoothly consumed. The sweet oranges (the district's 4-star OCOP product) is the most sought after one with daily increasing price.
Trader Nguyen Thi Hoe in Ngot village, Hong Giang commune informed that the sweet orange is now sold at 40 to over 70,000 VND per kg (depending on fruit class and quality), increasing one and a half times compared to the beginning of the season and doubling the price in the same period last year.

Meanwhile, Chu rice noodle products are also selling very well. Due to recent rainy weather, many noodle production facilities in Luc Ngan district have no more stock.
According to the Rural Development Division, Bac Giang province currently has more than 290 OCOP products, of which 27 products have 4 stars. Thanks to the province’s support for investment in production, processing, design of label and package, brand construction and promotion, the OCOP products and processed farm produce have recently been consumed strongly, especially during holidays, Tet occasion with highly increased price.
