Bac Ninh approves two social housing projects with nearly 2,600 apartments

Updated: 15:11, 08/07/2026

BAC NINH - Bac Ninh authorities have approved investment policies and selected developers for two social housing projects with nearly 2,600 apartments as part of efforts to expand housing supply and improve social welfare.

The first project will be developed on the A2-OXH3 land plot in Subdivision 14 of the Northwest New Urban Area in Vu Ninh and Kinh Bac wards by TC Bac Ninh Project Investment Joint Stock Company.

A social housing project in Que Vo Ward is being handed over for use, contributing to the expansion of Bac Ninh's housing stock.

The project will cover nearly 1.98 hectares with an estimated investment of more than 1.276 trillion VND (about 48.5 million USD). It will include a 17-storey social housing building with 640 apartments and 126 commercial units, providing accommodation for nearly 2,000 residents.

Construction is scheduled to be completed within 48 months from the date of investment approval.

The second project, located on the A4-NOXH1 land plot in Subdivision 19 of the expanded Pho Moi central area in Bong Lai Ward, will be developed by Bac Ninh Logistics Joint Stock Company.

The project will cover about 5.13 hectares with an estimated investment of more than 2.783 trillion VND (about 105 million USD). Under the plan, the development will comprise two 17-storey social housing buildings with around 1,932 apartments and 30 low-rise commercial houses, providing accommodation for nearly 4,000 residents.

The project is also expected to be completed within 48 months.

The two developments form part of the Vietnamese government's programme to build at least one million social housing units for low-income households and industrial park workers during the 2021-2030 period.

The projects are expected to support urban planning, increase the supply of affordable housing and improve living conditions for low-income residents, workers and beneficiaries of social housing policies in the province.

Under current regulations, developers of social housing projects are entitled to investment incentives and are required to ensure project quality, transparency and timely implementation.
