Bac Chuong Duong Investment and Trading JSC is developing the project, which was attended by Lam Thi Huong Thanh, a member of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Standing Committee and Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People's Council.

The project covers nearly 9 hectares and has total investment of more than 2.236 trillion VND (86 million USD), with a planned population of about 3,680 people.

Under the approved plan, the social housing complex will comprise nine 13-storey buildings with an additional rooftop floor, providing 2,015 apartments.

The project will also include 116 five-storey terraced commercial houses, which will be structurally completed and externally finished to create a cohesive architectural appearance across the development.

A key feature of the project is its land-use design, with residential buildings occupying nearly 30% of the total site, while more than 70% is allocated to green spaces, water features, public amenities and roads.

Construction workers mobilize machinery and equipment to meet the project's construction schedule.

The development will include a range of facilities serving residents, including a kindergarten, community centre, medical centre, sports area, swimming pool, pickleball courts and parks.

Ecolife Yen Trung is among projects implementing the government's programme to build at least 1 million social housing units for low-income people and industrial park workers during 2021-2030.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People's Council Lam Thi Huong Thanh said Ecolife Yen Trung was a large-scale social housing project that would help expand the province's social housing stock and meet housing demand among workers and employees in industrial parks once completed.

She asked the developer to ensure the project's progress, construction quality and occupational safety, while complying with environmental protection and fire prevention and firefighting requirements.

The provincial leader also urged provincial departments and agencies to continue working with the developer, provide guidance and address difficulties and obstacles during implementation, while promptly handling emerging issues to balance the interests of the state, businesses and residents.
