Travel companies including Dinh Anh International Tourism Trading Co. and Tre Viet International Tourism JSC have introduced interactive heritage tours that allow visitors to “live within the heritage” rather than simply sightseeing.
The “Journey to Quan Ho Land” tour takes visitors to famous sites such as Diem Village, Do Temple and Dau Pagoda, while also offering folk singing performances on boats, exchanges with Quan Ho performers, traditional cuisine and singing experiences.
Meanwhile, the “Truc Lam Buddhism Heritage Journey” connects key spiritual sites including Bo Da Pagoda, Vinh Nghiem Pagoda and Tay Yen Tu, offering visitors a tranquil cultural and religious experience.
Longer tourism itineraries are also gaining popularity. A two-day, one-night tour organised by Tre Viet International Tourism JSC includes visits to Vinh Nghiem Pagoda, Suoi Mo Ecotourism Area, Tay Yen Tu spiritual tourism complex, Bau Tien Ecotourism Area and traditional craft villages.
Visitors can explore ancient Buddhist architecture, UNESCO-recognised woodblocks, waterfalls, mountain landscapes and fruit orchards, while also experiencing local cuisine and cultural exchanges with residents.
Short-format experiential tours such as “One Day as an Artisan” have also been launched, allowing tourists to make folk paintings, craft pottery and watch traditional water puppetry performances.
According to Nguyen The Trong, director of Tre Viet International Tourism JSC, tourists are increasingly seeking deeper cultural immersion rather than fast-paced sightseeing trips, prompting companies to design more flexible and interactive tours.
Tourism promotion activities have also expanded through digital platforms, free heritage tours, famtrip programmes and traditional craft exhibitions.
In the first quarter of this year, Bac Ninh welcomed 2.21 million visitors, up 28% from a year earlier, while tourism revenue rose 30% to around 2 trillion VND (75.8 million USD).
During the recent Hung Kings Commemoration holiday and Reunification Day-Labour Day break, the province received around 600,000 visitors, up 25% year-on-year.

Suoi Mo Ecotourism Area attracted around 30,000 visitors during the seven-day holiday period, while Tay Yen Tu spiritual and ecological tourism complex reported a sharp rise in tourist arrivals, with nearly 10,000 visitors per day at peak times.
Provincial authorities aim to welcome between 6.5 million and 7 million visitors in 2026, including about 420,000 international arrivals, with tourism revenue projected to reach 6.6 trillion VND.
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said the province would continue developing distinctive tourism products, promoting regional connectivity and applying digital technology to tourism promotion and management while preserving heritage linked to sustainable tourism development.
