Updated: 15:40, 23/03/2026

BAC NINH – From March 24 to 30, the Bac Ninh provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in coordination with relevant agencies and localities, will organize two free tours under the theme “Journey to the heritage land” to promote cultural values and stimulate local tourism.

The program responds to a series of major events, including the UNESCO inscription of Dong Ho folk painting on the list of intangible cultural heritage in need of urgent safeguarding, the recognition of the Yen Tu – Vinh Nghiem – Con Son, Kiep Bac complex as a World Heritage Site, and the “Returning to the heritage land – 2026” festival.

Visitors and residents join free tours operated by 45-seat tourist buses.

The first tour departs from February 3 Square in Bac Giang ward, heading to the Dong Ho Folk Painting Conservation Center in Thuan Thanh ward, followed by a visit to Ba Chua Kho Temple in Vu Ninh ward. An additional daily pick-up point is arranged at Viet Yen No.2 High School in Tu Lan ward.

The second tour starts from Bac Ninh Library No.2 in Kinh Bac ward, visiting Vinh Nghiem Pagoda in Tan An ward, then touring an exhibition of traditional handicrafts and the Bac Ninh Trade and Tourism Fair 2026 in Bac Giang ward, before returning to the starting point.

The first tour will visit the Dong Ho Folk Painting Conservation Center in Thuan Thanh ward.

Both tours depart daily at 7:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Visitors can register online via QR code or contact the hotline at 0985 284 920. Registration will automatically close once capacity is reached.

Organizers prioritize early registrations and advise participants to arrive at departure points at least 30 minutes in advance. Any schedule changes or cancellations must be reported via the hotline to ensure smooth operations.

The second tour departs from Bac Ninh Library No.2 in Kinh Bac ward and includes a visit to the special national relic site of Vinh Nghiem Pagoda in Tan An ward.

The free tours aim to promote heritage values, boost tourism demand, and provide residents and visitors, both domestic and international, with opportunities to explore Bac Ninh’s cultural heritage during the festival week.

Each tour will be operated using 45-seat tourist buses.
