The city currently has 1,394 agricultural cooperatives and 415 cooperative groups, providing a foundation for reorganising production, expanding value-chain linkages and improving the quality and value of agricultural products.

In 2025-2026, local farmers' associations supported the establishment of 31 new professional farmers' branches, bringing the total to 340, and 318 professional farmers' groups, bringing the total to 1,354. They also helped establish 13 new cooperatives and 33 cooperative groups.

More than 7.86 billion VND (302,668 USD) was allocated, integrated or mobilised during the period to support implementation of the scheme.

The funds were used for communications, training, production support, science and technology applications, digital transformation, trade promotion, model development and product distribution links.

The associations also organised two safe agricultural product fairs with 40 booths showcasing OCOP-certified products and safe farm produce, helping cooperatives, producer groups and farmers connect with consumers and find buyers.

The benefits of linked production are evident at several local models. Manh Ngan Poultry Supply Cooperative in Tam Tien Commune uses Internet of Things technology to manage a 1,000-square-metre poultry facility housing 7,000 laying hens.

Automated sensors monitor conditions and help adjust feeding and heating, reducing labour requirements and improving management and biosecurity.

Nguyen Tien Manh, the Cooperative's Director, said links among farmers helped standardise production practices, improve control over breeding stock and ensure biosecurity.

The cooperative supplies more than 1 million high-quality chicks annually and earns an annual profit of 1 billion to 1.2 billion VND.

Song Cau Aquaculture Cooperative in Nenh Ward has 83 tanks covering 820 square metres for intensive and super-intensive eel farming.

Its hatchery supplies about 2.5 million juvenile eels a year, while commercial production reaches around 300 tonnes annually.

The cooperative is developing processed eel products, including hydrolysed eel extract and eel seasoning, to diversify its product range and increase value.

La Van Doan, Standing Vice Chairman of the Bac Ninh Farmers' Association, said production efficiency, farmers' incomes and market access should be key measures of the development of collective agriculture.

The association will continue supporting farmers and cooperatives with training, access to capital, technology, digital transformation and market connections, he said.
