Mining and quarrying output increased an estimated 38.92% year-on-year, while the manufacturing and processing sector rose 41.96%, accounting for the largest share of industrial output. Electricity, gas, steam and air-conditioning supply grew 27.31%, and water supply and waste management activities increased 40.07%.
Local authorities attributed the strong performance to Bac Ninh’s continued efforts to improve its investment climate, accelerate administrative reforms and promote e-government and digital transformation. The province remains one of Vietnam’s most attractive destinations for both domestic and foreign investors.
Industrial parks continue to play a key role in the provincial economy, attracting large volumes of investment, creating jobs and supporting economic growth. Major electronics manufacturers have maintained stable production while expanding factory capacity, strengthening Bac Ninh’s position in global supply chains.
However, several sectors recorded declines amid ongoing difficulties. Food processing output fell 0.11%, while wood processing and the manufacture of products made from wood, bamboo and rattan declined 31.93%. Furniture production dropped 21.08% during the period.
Provincial authorities said Bac Ninh will continue to improve the business and investment environment and promote industrial development. Task forces have been established to support major enterprises and investment projects in expanding production and accelerating project implementation.
The province is also reviewing and addressing challenges faced by businesses in order to sustain industrial growth in the coming months.
