Bac Ninh leads country in exports for three consecutive months

BAC NINH - Preliminary statistics from the General Department of Customs under the Ministry of Finance show that Vietnam’s export turnover reached nearly 42.67 billion USD in September. In the first nine months of this year, total exports brought in more than 348.7 billion USD, up 16% from the same period last year.

By province and city, Bac Ninh recorded the highest export value nationwide in September, reaching nearly 9.88 billion USD. This marks the third consecutive month the province has topped the country in exports, surpassing Ho Chi Minh City’s 7.65 billion USD.

According to the General Department of Customs, during the past nine months, export turnover from the domestic economic sector reached 85.4 billion USD, up 2%, while the foreign-invested sector (including crude oil) brought in 263.3 billion USD, up 21.4% year-on-year.

In the overall export structure, the domestic sector accounted for 24.5%, while the foreign-invested sector made up 75.5%.

Nationwide, 32 export items achieved a turnover of more than 1 billion USD each, accounting for 93.1% of total exports.

Notably, seven product categories reached export values exceeding 10 billion USD, contributing 67.9% of total exports. Specifically, electronics, computers, and components reached nearly 77.49 billion USD, up 45.9%; phones and parts 43.59 billion USD, up 4.1%; machinery, equipment, tools, and spare parts nearly 43 billion USD, up 13.5%; textiles and garments 29.74 billion USD, up 8.6%; footwear 17.79 billion USD, up 7.4%; transport vehicles and parts 12.78 billion USD, up 13.3%; and wood and wood products 12.45 billion USD, up 6.8%.
